Grand Lake O’ The Cherokees Quilt Guild was established in 1976 and became a non-profit organization incorporated in 1995 under the laws of the State of Oklahoma.
The purpose of the organization is to bring quilters together to share, enjoy, teach and learn the Art of Quilting. The guild logo is the "sailboat". Programs and workshops are offered throughout the year to encourage quilters to try all aspects of quilt making. The guild further contributes generously to a variety of charitable projects in our area. Membership is open to everyone.
Meetings are held 1st Friday of each month (except July) at the Grove Community Center, 104 W. 3rd, Grove, OK, at 10:00. We have over 60 members who pay $15 a year in dues.
Our Biennial quilt show is held over the 4th of July weekend. The guild members all come together to plan and conduct the show. This show is the major fundraiser for the guild. Proceeds from this show and the Donation Quilt Raffle sales help to provide assistance to a number of community organizations and to help further the art of quilting through classes and workshops. Local businesses in the community have also contributed to the show and projects.
Visit our show site and plan to attend. We would love to have you visit the beautiful Grand Lake and the community of Grove.
